Coming back to campus for Alumni Day on February 21? Join us for a QPA special panel discussion titled “Advancing the Science of Gender,” featuring Professor Kristina Olson and her research team from the TransYouth Project, the largest-to-date longitudinal research study of transgender youth.
The Trans Youth Project (TYP) is the preeminent scientific study of transgender youth. Founded in 2013 at the University of Washington and now based at Princeton University, TYP addresses the questions that families and scientists have about the mental health and gender development of transgender children. Using the most rigorous research practices possible, faculty supporting TYP are following a generation of transgender youth for 20 years.
The TYP research team will present their impact, recognition, and funding needs, with a reception to follow.
5PM: Panel Discussion, Julis Romo Rabinowitz building, Room 399
6PM: Reception, Weickart Atrium, Louis A. Simpson International Building
